Ahem. (Insert upper crust, extremely posh accent, please)...We interrupt regular (ridiculously crazy) broadcasting for a few moments of peace, tranquility and nature on a guided tour of my garden, some of it lovingly planted with help from my mom and sister.
Oh, and I suppose I should thank my husband who has bought the entire nursery of plants and garden decor lately (to make up for this incident) because he's so generous.
Over here we'll have a look in the front garden where the newly added trellis is trellising some peonies and roses. What fun.

Ahhhhh....and just to our right you will notice the incredible iris opening for the first time. Spectacular.
In front of that, you will see this green, slightly speckled brown stuff, that has flowered some purply pink thing. Quite fetching for a seasonal thingamajig.
Oh yes, to the far right, on either side of the doorway, please feast your eyes upon the sunshiny yellow pansies hiding within the urns. Brilliant.
Let's make our way to the back garden, shall we? ...First up, one of the (weed-like) daisies. They look beautiful...but, please don't smell them. "They" tell you to smell the roses and I swear they don't say "smell the daisies" because well, to put it nicely...daisies kind of smell like doggy do. There I said it. No, no, I did not say, "I stepped in....OH! NEVER MIND! Look at the roses over there..."
Gorgeous, hearty roses on a rose bush that is likely around my age. Yes, they look like eighteen year old rose bushes. Don't you agree? :)
Over round here, we have a sweet little addition of a golden finch statue we've named "Dot". Why is her name Dot, you ask? Have you ever heard of the "because I said so?" Right then. Let's carry on...
Watch your step...not only are we growing flowers and plants in this garden we have also grown and released Painted Lady butterflies this weekend. Never a dull moment around here.
Fix your eyes on the one of a kind hybrid rose called "Corinne's Choice". It was also "Lynda's Choice" at the mall today. She bought it from a Rose Society. She's not sure why she's referring to herself in third person. She'll stop now while you notice the amazing star burst pattern of the rose...
Last, but not least, check out the hundreds (okay, dozens) of different pansies in the garden beds. Their colourful little faces are rather delightful.
Thank you for joining us for our first annual Garden Tour. If there is a next year, we will see you then.
In the meantime, mind the thorns on the roses. They hurt when sat upon. Please do not ask me how I know...
