The sunny "blonde" Vancouver IS more fun!

These photos were taken last week as we crossed over the Georgia Viaduct heading into downtown Vancouver and, besides a few rainy days here and there, we have had the most spectacular autumn weather on record - warm, mostly sunny and mild. (Of course it lightly rained here today to make a liar out me. OF COURSE IT DID. However, tomorrow's weather forecast is for SUN. So there.) It's barely even jacket weather here. I put away my summer clothes, only to yank them back out again.

(It's nice when the lamp post can just look pretty and not have to be on because it is dark outside.)
(Reminds me of a parliament building - only it is not.)

(We have many "green" buildings in downtown Vancouver. I have heard that for good fortune, builders began growing trees on the roof tops of the building they constructed. ONE QUESTION: Where do the roots go?!)

(Science World at sunset.)

(This is the construction of the new roof on BC Place.)

I also notice the warmer weather's effect on the trees here. I have barely seen any of them changing colours this year. By now most leafy trees are typically bright reds, golds, and oranges. This year the "fall colours" are mostly green with only a slight hint of orange. (See top photo for further evidence.)

If only what worked for nature worked for humans...

I wish the sunshine would slow down the spread of grey hairs taking over my head like wildfire! Speaking of tree roots... Mine seem to glow in the sun's rays. Talk about blinding! ...I guess we can't have it all. I will take the warm weather. Now, please pass me the hair dye...

Lynda,
Lovely weather makes for lovely photos. Autumn is such a wonderful season. It leaves us with one great lasting impression of what will come again after a season of rest.
Have a peaceful Sunday.
